The Atlantic City Heritage Collections at the Atlantic City Free Public Library contain materials and artifacts related to Atlantic City's rich history. Because the materials are a special collection and archives of the Library and many of the materials are unique, the collection is housed in the Alfred M. Heston Room, which is available by advance appointment only.

To make an appointment, speak with the Heston Room staff at (609) 345-2269 ext. 3062. You may also email your request for an appointment or for research assistance. If you are unable to visit the library and conduct your research in person, limited research assistance is available off-site and there are fees. For information on reproduction, publication, or broadcast of images from the collection, please contact Heston Room staff using the telephone number or email above.

The Atlantic City Heritage Collections of the Atlantic City Free Public Library contain artifacts and archival collections of papers, photographs, scrapbooks and other materials that are preserved and made accessible for research. These collections are unique and many contain primary source documents. Because the collections are unique, they are in a closed-stack area and require staff assistance to access them.
